Northern Colorado provides opportunities for nearly every outdoor adventure you can think of! If you’ve never been to Northern Colorado, one of the first things you will notices is all of the bike lanes. Cycling is a huge pastime here, and clubs organize rides for any level. Sculpture gardens, city parks and open spaces are all around, including a wide system of bike paths throughout the area.

The larger cities, Fort Collins, Loveland, and Windsor, have many city facilities such as Edora Pool and Ice Center (EPIC), Mulberry Pool, Northside Aztlan Community Center, Windsor Lake, and the Hatfield Chilson Recreation Center are just a few. Bring the whole family for a fun day learning and entertainment at the Discovery Center.
Rock climbing, bouldering, hiking boating and fishing are all a short trip to a river, Horsetooth Reservoir, or an open space. Tubing down the Poudre River in the gorgeous Poudre Canyon is also a favorite summertime activity. While in the Canyon, stop and have lunch at Mishawaka and check out the concert venue. White water rafting on scenic rivers is not far away either.
Rocky Mountain National Park is about an hour drive from Fort Collins through the scenic Big Thompson Canyon. On your way check out Estes Park, and if staying there in the summer, you can schedule a white water raft trip on the Poudre River or a more relaxed trip on the Colorado River or just enjoy the many restaurants and shops. Make sure to check out the Stanley Hotel.
Many city and private tennis, golf, and country clubs are available for those enthusiasts.
